Chequebook waving Manchester City boss Mark Hughes isn’t saying too much about whether his club are going to come back with a third offer for defender Joleon Lescott.
City had a second offer of £18 million turned down soon after their first bid of £15 million was rejected.
Hughes looks like he has finished building at the front end of his team and has now turned his hand to building a stronger defence, he has the money to do it, but unluckily for him, so do the other clubs and that’s why City are spending stupid amounts on players.
Hughes knows that the second bid has been turned down, but is saying nothing about a third bid.
Hughes said: "My understanding is that we've already done that (made a second bid) and by all accounts Everton have rejected that.
"We'll wait and see."
