News: Is Lescott about to go?

Despite Everton saying that they are not going to let Joleon Lescott go, there is speculation this morning that the Toffees could be about to go for Arsenal’s Philippe Senderos which could pave the way for Man City to land Lescott.

Swiss international Senderos has become surplus to requirements at Arsenal and spent last season on loan at AC Milan with the hope of earning a permanent deal with the club, but that never came about.If the story is true, then it could be that Everton are seriously considering letting Lescott go and getting in Senderos as a replacement.

City want to partner Lescott with Kolo Toure at the heart of defence after missing out on Chelsea and England captain John Terry
