Snippet: Lescott left out in the cold

There have been reports today that Everton defender Joleon Lescott is training away from the first-team squad as he tries force the Toffees into letting him go to Manchester City.

The England star has handed in a transfer request that has been refused along with bids from Man City for 15 and £18 million.

A third bid has yet to come from Citeh, but it is expected and Rumours have it that it could be a player plus cash offer.

Lescott played in the 6-1 defeat to Arsenal on the opening day and many have said that he did not give his all for the club and he now looks set to be left out of the squad for the club's Europa League game with Sigma Olomouc on Thursday.

An Everton spokesman said: "We will not be making any comment on this."
