Everton fans will have one eye on the South Africa against Ireland game tonight after Steven Pienaar was given the go ahead to play.

Pienaar came off the field early in the game against Germany with a groin injury, but after examination by doctors, he has been given the all clear for tonight.

Team manager Sipho Nkumane said: “The doctors have assured us that Steven’s groin injury is nothing to worry about and he will be available for selection.
“In fact, he trained with the other members of the team and didn’t experience any pain at all.
