Brown thinks the break has come at the right time

Phil Brown believes the international break to be a positive rather then a negative. People have asked whether the international break has come at the wrong time but I don't think it has," said Brown. "We need some rest and we need to take our foot off the gas because we didn't finish (last season) until May 24th. "The rest is definitely coming at the right time for me."
"My job last week was to make sure that, firstly, the player's feet were firmly on the ground and secondly, that the player's weren't becoming over confident because that can be detrimental to yourself.
"But this group has been a pleasure to work with and it's not just a case of this past week (since the win at Arsenal), they have been a pleasure to work with all season.
"The new boys have come in and settled in nicely. We have a certain way of playing at Hull City and they are getting to understand that."
