Windass going nowhere says Duffen

Hull Chairman Phil Duffen has rubbish claims Dean Windass is about to join Leeds. A source close to the Tigers claimed the 39-year-old would complete a move to Elland Road on Thursday afternoon. However, Duffen told BBC Radio Humberside: "No approach has been made by Leeds United to anyone at the football club. "It's a complete non-story and definitely not happening." appearances

The Forward has been linked with Leeds this week and claims he had Talks with Leeds manager Gray McAllister. Windass has only made 2 sub appearances  this season having scored the goal which took the tigers up in May.

Dean is supposedly on ten grand a week at Hull. Although he'd probably be welcome at any League 1 side, and over half the Championship clubs, can they match or better Dean's current deal?

To be fair I would like to see Macca bring some youth to the attacking department and not feel the need to have to go with an experienced player. A youth player could also have an impact on the team as they are so hungry for action and a chance to shine.
I honestly don't think i'd see that hunger from a 'old timer' who cant even put in 90 mins. No offence to DW at all as he has been a good player over the years but we need to build for the future and not be scared of making it out of this league with the players we already have....

We are still 3rd or had everyone forgotten. As long as we finish above those cunning foxes I don't care where we finish!

I was at Leeds Training ground on Tuesday afternoon picking kids up from coaching course and Windass was there! parked right outside the entrance, he could have done with parking in the car park and walking up to the building, mind he would probably been out of breath and in turn failed his medical!

Deano is obviously desperate to play. His heroics in keeping City from relegation then the final at Wembley are enough for anyone to beleive their own publicity. But realisticaly he was probably better of quiting after Wembley and focusing on a role as a motivator or PR since his status at Hull is legend now - he only serves to tarnish it with a move to Leeds.
