Wigan manager Steve Bruce has revealed that it is up to Hull whether they want to sign Marlon King on a permanent basis. Hull could even decide to make a move for King, reported to be in the region of £3million, in the January transfer window rather than wait until the end of the season.
"With the loan agreement we have in place, it is their call if they want to do something," Bruce said.
"Certainly I haven't heard anything from Hull.
"But when you have a loan deal you can break that loan deal to sign a player. So that's up to them."
