Hull welcome West Brom to the KC looking to end a run of 6 straight league defeats which has seen them slip to 10th in the table. West Brom go into the match with form which reads LWLWLWL from their last 7 league games and if that form continues then it could be yet another defeat for Hull.
Team News
Hull are set to give new man Jimmy Bullard his home debut , Daniel cousin is rated 50/50 for the game as he continues his comeback from a knee injury. Matt Duke is set to continue in goal.
West Brom are without Jonas Olsson, Leon Barnett, Abdoulaye Meite and Neil Clement. Pele and Ryan Donk could play but are both struggling with groin problems. Paul Robinson is free to play after having his red card rescinded.
Manager Views
Phil Brown:
"There's pressure on both sides but it's a must-win game for West Brom, that's not so much the case for us" Brown told the Mail.
"For us, we're in more of a must not lose situation. There's still 45 points up for grabs and it's not going to be do or die. We've got a chance tomorrow to put real space between ourselves and the bottom three.
"That will mean rolling our sleeves up and getting back to the basics. That might not necessarily be pretty but we need to shake that losing habit.
"It's a high-profile game and the type of six-pointer you wouldn't associate with 15 games to go but there's still plenty of time on our side."
West Brom manager Tony Mowbray:
"We've been there in the last two seasons and got good victories.
"We've got to go there and try and make it a hat-trick of wins at a relatively new stadium.
"It's a huge game that, first and foremost, we don't want to lose. They could go nine points away from us which could be a big ask (to make up).
"It's a big game for Hull because if they were to lose they'd
be three point ahead of the team sitting bottom. That shows the
tightness of the league. "
The last four league meetings between Hull and West Brom have all been won by the club playing away from home.
The Baggies are vying for a fourth successive league victory on Hull turf, having won at third league level in October 1992, and in the Championship in February 2007 and January 2008.
