Hull defender Michael Turner has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2013. The defender has signed an improved contract his original deal was set to expire in 2011. Turner has been an integral part of the Hull side helping them achieve promotion to the premiership and he was also a driving force in the clubs early great form this season.

Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "He's agreed a two-year extension which keeps him with the club until 2013 and that's a massive step forward for us.

"It's a massive positive for Hull City, players like Michael are the future of the club."

Turner has been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester City this season and his early season form also made him tipped to be called up to the England team. Hull fans will be glad to hear the news their star defender is committed to the club.
