Anthony Gardner Believe the clean sheet against Fulham helped his side to the 1-0 victory. Hull withstood alot of Fulham pressure before Manucho scored a winner in injury time. "Fulham have been good at home this season, but the gaffer said that the further we could get in the game still level, the better our chances of taking something from it," said Gardner.
"We defended for our lives in the first half and we know we have to do that if we want to stay in this league.
"The game opened up a bit in the second half and it became a bit of an open affair. They were pushing towards the end to try and get a win, which they had to do as the home side.
"The gaffer threw on a couple of substitutes and they came up trumps for us which was very pleasing.
"To be involved in a result like this is very pleasing for me.
"it was a massive win for us. We'd been struggling to get that win we needed to boost morale in the camp. What that can do for you is second to none.
"We've got that now, and that is very pleasing."
