Brown " More To Come From Manucho"

Following Manucho's winning goal against Fulham Manager Phil Brown believes there is more to come from the striker. "I think there is more to come from him," said Brown. "He wasn't getting a game at Manchester United, hence the reason Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to loan him out. He wanted him to find his feet at this level as soon as possible.

"We've been impressed with his attitude in training and we've been impressed with his attitude at not being selected.

"That is key for a substitute if you are going to come on and his mentality was right last night."

Brown felt Manucho's aerial strength would provide a difficult test for Fulham's 6'5" centre back Brede Hangeland late in the game and he was pleased his change bore fruit.

"Hangeland is a handful. If you're knocking long balls up from your goalkeeper, you would expect him to win them.

"The lads had backed in and battled with him, but when Manucho came on it was a different ball game.

"Full credit to Richard Garcia, too. He was left out because of a tight situation which has been created because of the run we've been on.

"For him to be on the bench and come on and create the winning goal was as good and as effective as Manucho scoring."
