Loving the high life

Defender Andy Dawson says he has loved every minute of playing in the Premiership. Dawson has experienced Leagues One and Two, the Championship and the Premier League at Hull City. The defender has recently signed a new 2 and a half year deal with the club.
"I've loved every minute of it and every player, every top player wants to play in the Premier," Dawson told Yorkshire Sport.
"It's a challenge and it's been exciting for myself.
"It's certainly not something I have been worried about.
"It
is a challenge to play against the best wingers in the world, the best
centre-forwards in the world and it's something hopefully I will have
the chance again next year to do.
"I've just signed another
contract so I have got another two-and-a-half years left on my contract
and I am glad I got it sorted – hopefully my future will be secure for
a couple more years now.
"It's massive to be in the top flight and we want to be in the Premiership.
"We know we have got a lot of hard work to do but we are definitely capable of doing it.
"We'd obviously be devastated to go down but that's not a thought that we have taken into consideration.
"We've
got to this level and we are going to try our hardest and show all our
qualities individually and collectively and I am sure that will be good
enough to keep us in the league for next year."
"I've loved every minute of it," he said.
"I played the first 12 or 13 games or whatever it was and obviously it was a new experience.
"I had an injury but I've come back into the team.
It's not a pressure situation, that's not the way we look at it and just one we are enjoying.
"You are always going to enjoy it more when you are winning and hopefully I will be doing it again next year."
Dawson also believes this season has been a very positive one for everyone involved with the club.
"It's been positive all season," he added.
"I've said before
that we've worked hard to get to this level of football and a lot of
individuals throughout the football club have worked hard.
"I think we are enjoying the occasion more than worrying about it.
"You
don't feel pressure going into the games and this is where we want to
be and Portsmouth had three internationals the other day.
"I
definitely wouldn't say it's nervy – we'd like to be higher up the
table and safe but that's the way it is and we've just got to go out
and get the points we need.
"Obviously this is a massive time in the season and hopefully we can get the all-important points sooner rather than later."
"I have been here six years now and I feel part and parcel of it to be fair," said Dawson.
"Its a passion and an honour to put a shirt on every week, especially in the Premier League and I wear the shirt with pride."
