Barmby Looking For New High

Looking to Survive

Veteran midfielder Nick Barmby believes surviving in the Premier League would eclipse everything the club achieved last season. Barmby feels Hull staying up would beat the feeling of Last years Promotion to the top flight Barmby said "It would be massive. It would be our Wembley - but we have got seven cup finals.

"Because we have got Manchester United last game of the season we don't want to be too late going about our job, but it would be a major achievement, huge.

Commenting on yesterdays game

Barmby said: "There was a lot of tension between the two teams, which is natural with what is at stake, staying in the Premier League.

"The final third for both teams was a bit scrappy and we never really created a great deal of chances, but I thought our defence was magnificent and our desire and attitude was spot on again.

"Picking up a point at this stage of the season with the bottom three losing - we'll take the point and take the positives out of it."

Barmby said: "Pressure situations can bring mistakes, even for the best players and we have got to capitalise on that next week at Middlesbrough.

"In the Premier League if you get booked, especially early doors, you are always walking on a tight rope.

"It was good for us, a great player walking off the pitch, but we didn't really capitalise against the 10 men."
