"We Showed Commitment and Desire" Brown

Manager Phil Brown Believes Liverpool were let off the hook on Saturday as The Tigers went down 3-1 at home. Brown believes Liverpool got key decisions in their favour and that Hull can survive if they show the desire and commitment shown against Liverpool in their next 4 games.
"Losing doesn't give you any satisfaction," said Brown.
"I'm not a good loser. On Saturday, we asked for the same level of
commitment that we got at Sunderland. We got that and I thought there
was a little bit more quality coming into the final third.
"We were unfortunate to find ourselves behind at half time. We were having to pick the players up at half time when there had been an injustice done.
"Our game plan in the first half more than worked. We knew it was going to be tough, but somebody has let Liverpool off the hook.
"I cannot see that it was a free kick. The one seconds earlier by Dean Marney on whoever it was definitely was but the referee waved play on to give them a good advantage.
"He (the referee) wanted to issue a yellow card to Dean, and rightly
so, but you don't need to stop the game to do that, you should wait for
the game to stop. To stop the game 20 yards from our goal because a
Liverpool player has fallen down and put us under pressure in the 46th
minute and allow them a free shot at goal, I cannot accept that."
Brown Feels the decision to send Caleb Folan off was correct .
"I've got no excuses or reasons for the sending off. I thought it was justified and it will be dealt with in-house."
Brown was also full of praise for Geovanni.
"He looks up for it. We've said a lot of things this season and he's chipped in with a lot. He really cares and he's made reference to the fight, the drive, the desire and the determination required to stay in the Barclays Premier League.
"He's got cause on his side and when you have that, you are a better player. He and Nick Barmby probably out-tackled anybody on the field and that will astound a lot of people.
"But if anybody questions the desire of the players this season, they've only not seen that on two occasions. We need that desire and commitment for four more games."
