Duffen Prepared For The Worst

Hull Chairman Paul Duffen has assured fans the club is prepared for relegation should the club failure to avoid the drop. Hull sit just 3 points above the drop zone and haven't won in 7 games. Duffen told the Hull Daily Mail: "Last year from January, I began making contingency plans to be in the Premier League, which probably wasn't in the thoughts of many fans at the time.
"We are ready for whatever is thrown at us after the next four games." He
added: "The simple way of working it out is the differential between
living off parachute payments and the full share of Premier League
revenues. "Next year, the difference would be about £30m. That's
the difference between being in the Championship as opposed to being in
the Premier League." Duffen, though, remains confident that
manager Phil Brown will lead the club to safety with four matches of
the season left to play. "We're in a
situation where we've got four games remaining and I believe we need
four points from them, but it's possible that three will be enough," he
said. "But I'm sure that four points will be enough and I've got no doubts whatsoever that we will get them. "I never look down, I always look up. I focus on where I want to be rather than where I don't want to be. "If you look in the bunker, that's where you will hit your shot, I'm looking down the fairway."
