With Premiership football next season to look forward too Hull's fans, players and staff will have a nice summer break before pre season which will start on Saturday 18th July against North Ferriby United the game will kick off at 12PM . Brown will be hoping to have a full fit squad as well as some new recruits in before then.

"When we come back from Beijing we'll have one (friendly) definitely and possibly a second," said Brown.

"That is all in the lead up to our second season in the Barclays Premier League and that is something that seems to roll nicely off the tongue.

"We're all looking forward to the season with renewed confidence. We took an awful lot of criticism towards the end of last season.

"However, the slate is wiped clean now and hopefully by the time we get to August 15th we'll have recharged our batteries and got ourselves back to the fitness levels required to hit the ground running again where the Barclays Premier League is concerned."
