Expensive!

Cardiff have warned Hull City that Joe Ledley will not be sold on the cheap . Hull and rumoured to want the Welsh international midfielder and many believe a fee of over £5 million could see the player leave Wales this summer. Hull boss Phil Brown was in the stands on Wednesday night as Cardiff and Celtic drew 0-0.

"I saw Phil before he came in. If he pays the money the club are asking then there isn't a problem," Jones said.

"I can't do anything about that if the price is right."

Ledley has a year left on his current contract and it is believed he will run it down rather then re-signing.

"If Joe won't sign a contract, then he will go - but we won't let him go cheaply," Jones said.

"People keep going on about the fact he has got a year left of his contract. I don't see why that should make him any cheaper. I'm astounded when people do that.

"So I say, 'wait a year then'. If we've been offered £6m six months ago, why has his valuation gone down because he has decided to run his contract out?

"I don't see why one year should make any difference whatsoever because he then falls under the compensation.

"If teams want him, why are they going to wait a year? I don't understand that thought process... because others might come in and pay the money."
