Ricketts Bid Confirmed

Hull have confirmed they've received an offer for defender Sam Ricketts. Both Bolton and Portsmouth are said to be interested in signing the player it is unclear which club has made the offer. Hull are said to be looking for around £2.5 Million for the player who has one year left on his contract.

Phil Brown told BBC Radio Humberside: "We're assessing it on it merits in a professional manner.

"Sam has another year left on his contract and if the lad wants to stay he has to show it in the opening games of the season."

"It's a balancing act and he's getting on with pre-season in a professional manner," he added.

"We've had one firm [offer] and another [club] showing interest.
