Hull have had a bid for Cardiff Striker Ross McCormack rejected. Hull have been continuously linked with the player over the summer and there have been conflicting stories about the players future over the last few days. Now Cardiff boss Davel Jones has confirmed a bid has been rejected.

"They've [Hull] made an offer, we think it's unacceptable so we've told them no," said Cardiff manager Dave Jones.

"It's no good them moaning about it, it they don't value him at that then fine, go and look somewhere else.

"But I think we're doing it the right way, we'll just stay quiet, do our business properly.

"We sold Roger Johnson, we did business with Birmingham, there was none of this, it was just done, dusted, they paid what we wanted.

"We're not in a position where we used to be a few years ago, where if someone came knocking we had to sell. We don't have to sell."

Phil Brown also confirmed that a bid has been rejected .

"We've made our move, we've put a bid in for Ross McCormack but the bid has been rejected," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"Hopefully we can agree terms between the two clubs and the player still, but we won't raise what we've bid because we think it's a good offer."
