Negredo Deals Falls Through

Hull's attempt to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo. Hull had agreed a fee of £12 million for the player However the player has rejected the move choosing to stay in Spain With Sevilla now faviourites to sign the forward who scored 19 goals for Almeria last season. The failure to land yet another striker just adds to Brown's summer of Frustration in the transfer window.

Despite the signings of Jozy Altidore and Kamel Ghilas Brown has missed out on Michael Owen, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Frazier Campbell, Daryl Murphy and Ross McCormack.

Chairman Phil Duffen Confirmed the clubs Failure to land the Spanish striker on BBC Humberside but remained upbeat.

"It's one of those things - it doesn't make any difference to us at all,"

"In the nicest possible way it would've been something good to do. You move on, there's no time to shed tears for these things, it's just a reality."
