Player of the Month: February

He may not have expected to be in the side, but injuries gave him his break and Dons Online's February player of the month has never looked back, cementing his place as an important part of the back four.

With injuries to Shaun Cummings and Luke Howell, a player who some Dons fans thought should have seen more time on the pitch this season finally got a chance at a run in the team. And Roberto Di Matteo did not regret giving him that opportunity as our player of the month shone in all four games, but none more so than the top of the table clash against Leicester City.

Player of the month for February goes to right-back Carl Regan. Carl has waited for a proper run in the team all season and has grabbed the opportunity he has been given this month with four excellent performances, playing every minute of each game this month. Probably his most notable of the month was against Leicester, where he successfully kept ex-Dons winger Lloyd Dyer quiet.

Well done to Carl and hopefully he can keep up the same form through a very tricky looking March.
