Centre-back Danny followed Paul Ince to the club in summer 2007, and went on to form a watertight partnership with Sean O'Hanlon at the heart of the Dons defence, earning a place in the League Two Team of the Year.

Costing around £50,000 from Macclesfield, Danny is one of few centre-backs at this level who not only is dominant in the air and a menace to play against, but is also very comfortable on the ball and is capable of bringing it out of defence effectively. He also bagged five goals during the 2007/08 season, one a stunning volley that again illustrated his genuine ability.

Due to a troublesome achilles injury, Danny was ruled out for most of the 2008/09 season, and the Dons sorely missed his presence in defence.
