West Ham youngster joins

Northern Ireland centre-back Michael Forbes has signed for Bristol Rovers on loan for the 2024/25 season.

Michael Forbes West Hams Under 21's captain has agreed to join Bristol Rovers on loan for the 2024/2025 season. The 20-year-old made 12 appearances in all competitions at West Ham as they finished second in Premier League 2, he also made his debut for Northern Ireland coming on as a sub in the 4-0 loss to Finland.

Forbes has been with West Ham since 202 and has recently signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026. The youngster will be competing for a place in Rovers defence with James Wilson, Connor Taylor, James Connolly plus fellow new arrivals Taylor Moore and Dan Ellison, although its looks increasingly likely that Connolly will move to Tranmere Rovers on loan.  It’s believed that Matt Taylor will play with a back three in the upcoming season.
