Busy Times at Yeovil

Terry Skiverton has signed a new player to the ranks, from Championship side Ipswich.

Midfielder Ed Upson has signed for the Glovers from the Tractor Boys. Upson spent part of last season on loan at Barnet where he appeared once scoring the one goal.

Upson adds numbers to Yeovil's dwindled midfield after Murtagh left for Wycombe whilst JP Kalala's future at Yeovil remains in doubt.

In other news, ex-Glover Scott Guyett is back training with Yeovil after being released by AFC Bournemouth. However, at this time it is unsure whether Terry Skiverton has plans to sign the Australian centre back or help him with keeping fitness.

Another defender training with Yeovil is Adam Virgo, who has been recently released by Brighton & Hove Albion. Virgo has been linked with Yeovil for some time and the player who once transferred for 1.5 million is highly rated by Skiverton.

"He's in training with us and he's having a look at us. I don't like to mention the word 'trial' because he's someone I know a lot about. I've played against Adam on numerous occasions. I know all about him and what he has got. It's just basically looking at whether he fits in with the criteria that we're looking for." 

In addition, the Yeovil gaffer has also stated that the club have offered striker Lee Trundle a contract, but speaking to BBC Radio Somerset Skiverton remained calm: "We have spoken, but he is a Championship type player. A few years ago he was worth something like a million to 1.5 million. So we've made an offer to him, and he's mulling it over, but there will be Championship clubs out there who will be interested in him. We'll just have to wait and see." 

Finally, Yeovil have secured the services of striker Luke Freeman, who joins on-loan from Arsenal until December. The striker preferred Yeovil to QPR as he hopes to gain more first team experience.
