Yeovil Blow Man. Utd o-Way, o-Way!

Darren Way played his last game for Yeovil Town with a cameo appearance alongside close friend and fellow coach Terry Siverton.

Throughout the week Skiverton had been urging people to buy tickets, and the Yeovil gaffer wouldn't have been let down with the crowd of 6,664.

The Glovers rightfully won the encounter 3-2, with a blistering 3 goal flurry in the space of four minutes.

At half-time the score was 1-0 to the visitors, after Rodrigo Possebon lashed in a strike from the edge of the box, not long before half time.

However, Yeovil had been the better of the two sides, and could feel hard done by at half time, with the Glovers creating a number of chances themselves. Most notably Dean Bowditch clattering the cross-bar.

Jean-Paul Kalala and Sam Williams also went close, causing trouble to United 'keeper Conor Devlin.

Skiverton had selected what looked like his starting XI for his opening npower League One game, with the exception of Nathan Jones at left back.

The second half began with a bang, when on the 47th JP Kalala was allowed space 25 yards which the midfielder used emphatically with a stunning rocket which completely threw young 'keeper Devlin who helplessly watched on as the shot flew into the net, throwing the crowd to their feet.

Before the fans had a chance to return to their seats, it was 2-1 to Yeovil when a well worked short corner led to Andy Williams' brilliant whipped in cross being swept home by Sam Williams from close range.

The three goal flurry was rounded of just 2 minutes later when yet another Andy Williams corner was head back across goal by Sam Williams for trialist Adam Virgo to head into the net, completing an astonishing 4 minutes.

United got a second late on, but the game some what fizzled out when Skiverton brought on his parade of trialists and squad players.

On came Danny Hutchins, Adam Virgo, Billy Gibson, Craig Calvert, Sean McAllister, Scott Guyett, Ed Upson and Lloyd Matthews. 

And the crowd were once again in raptures when Darren Way and Skiverton emerged for the final few minutes sparking an emotional few minutes for Way.

In his after match speech Darren hoped to drive the club forward, something we look forward to watching him do...
