Match Preview: Notts County v. Yeovil Town

The Glovers travel to Meadow Lane hoping to pick up their first win since the opening day of the season.

Notts County began the season bookies favourites for promotion, after emphatically winning the League Two title last year, but the transition has been a tough one for the Magpies, who, like Yeovil, linger towards the bottom of the table with just 4 points. 

Continuing the similarities, Notts County struggle to keep a clean sheet, twice conceding 3 goals, most notably last weekend, when they battled back from 3-0 down to draw the game at Bournemouth.

In terms of team news, the only injury doubt for the Glovers is striker come winger Andy Williams, who turned his ankle at Oldham last week, and will face a late fitness test.

JP Kalala is expected to recover from a groin injury which forced him off against Exeter, but two definite absentees will be Shaun MacDonald and Rob Kiernan who are both on Under-21 International duty for Wales and Rep. of Ireland respectively.

Sam Williams begins a three match suspension for collecting a straight red card in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in mid-week. With Terry Skiverton hinting he could deploy a lone front man in Dean Bowditch. 

Notts County look to welcome back several key players, with striker Lee Hughes returning to fitness after a groin injury, along with Neal Bishop and Ben Burgess, who have also recovered from injuries.

The last time these two sides met was back in the 2004-05 season, with uncountable squad alterations since then, the previous results are almost irrelevant.
