Two Remain Injury Doubts

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton will have to sweat it out to see whether captain Craig Alcock and combative midfielder JP Kalala will be fit to face Southampton.

Alcock missed Saturday's match against Exeter City due to a back injury whilst midfielder JP Kalala hasn't featured since the 3-1 home win over Tranmere over two weeks ago.

Both players will need to face late fitness tests, which manager Skiverton will be hoping they pass after both players were seemingly missed during the weekends game against the Grecians.

Skiverton has noted the absence of Kalala speaking to BBC Radio Somerset: "We don't know yet. It's going to be touch and go as to whether they are fit for that one. The only thing is that every time that JP (Kalala) is missing or someone else is missing, we look like we're weak. I don't consider JP to be this big 6'3" hardman, I just think that JP is a good honest steady player. But it does show up when he is not there." 

In addition, Skivo hopes to find more from his current midfield, in particular Shaun MacDonald and Owain Tudur Jones: "Shaun MacDonald would normally get around the pitch and make tackles, along with Owain (Tudur Jones). They didn't do that (on Saturday, against Exeter City) but normally they can do that. So we'll have to see in the next game who we have got fit first, because we've got three or four knocks, and then see who wants to go out there and can put a really good performance in."
