Gaffer's Reaction To Cup Draw

Terry Skiverton has given his reaction to the Glovers drawing Rushden & Diamonds away for the FA Cup First Round. 

Last season the Green and Whites went out to then Blue Square Premier side Oxford United, and Skiverton is determined to not make the same mistake again against Blue Square Premier opposition: 

"We came unstuck last year to a Conference side and I will be doing my best to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Skiverton is yet to win a cup match as manager of Yeovil, and expresses the fact that a good cup run would be good all round for the club:

"I'm determined to get a good foot hold in the FA Cup this season so you can rest assured we will be well up for the tie this time around. We all know how important a good Cup run is and I'm hoping we can get one this year".

Yeovil seem to have a jinx when it comes to FA Cup draws, as they appear to be constantly drawn away from home. The Glovers do not have fond memories of Rushden & Diamonds as at the same stage in the 2006-07 season they lost 3-1 away at Rushden, something they will be hoping to learn from as they travel there again:

"We must not forget that we are no longer the Giant killers which will only serve to encourage Rushden to up their game like they did last time."
