Skiverton Shuns Team Performance

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has warned his players that they must perform or lose their position in the side. 

The Glovers fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of MK Dons on Tuesday night, just three days after shipping a further three goals in a 3-3 draw with Swindon Town.

In the post match interview with BBC Radio Somerset Skiverton told of how there isn't one position in the side nailed down to a player:

"That includes the loan players as well. They're not doing well enough. We brought them in for that extra bit of quality and if they're not doing it as well, then everyone's places are up for grabs now. I'll be dropping people and I don't care who they are, what they do and what club they come from. This goes for the contracted players as well. They better be ready for some training and ready for some hard work. That's as low as it's going to get for me, and they'll know about it - don't worry about that." 

After talking about possible top half finished and even pushing for the play-offs, the Green and Whites now seem to be in a relegation battle, something which Terry Skiverton believes his side are yet to realise:

"I'm starting to question whether the players really want to get a cut eye. Do they want to die for the cause? At the moment, I'd say no. I've given them a chance. Now this is a stage where I finally bang the drums and start saying 'relegation battle' this early. They need to know that, I need to make them aware of that, and they need to know that they are fighting for their lives, because at the minute we're playing as if we're not. You will definitely see a marked change in us this weekend and going into next weekend as well, because if they don't start livening themselves up, then they'll be out the door."
