Yeovil Town's influential midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala has been called up to his native Democratic Republic of the Congo's international squad.
The Congolese battler will meet up with his team mates in France this Tuesday for a training camp and then friendly match against Mali this Wednesday.
JP has played for Congo before being named part of their African Cup of Nations squad in 2004, however Kalala didn't take any active part in the competition.
Fellow DR Congo internationals which you may recognise are Peterborough United's Gabriel Zakuani and West Ham United's Herita Ilunga. Arguably the most famous DR Congo player is Lomano Lua Lua (previously of Newcastle United and Portsmouth) who has now retired from international football.
Kalala has become an indispensable part of the Glovers midfield due to his battling qualities, and has even excelled at right-back in recent weeks due to regular right-backs Craig Alcock and Luke Ayling.
Congratulations Jean-Paul!
