Terry Skiverton has learnt that a trio of his six loan players have been denied permission to play in the FA Cup second round. 

Bristol City pair Ivan Sproule and Gavin Williams have been denied permission to play, hardly surprising considering they are only on the fringes at Bristol City. Williams in fact missed the Glovers first round tie at Rushden & Diamonds. 

The surprise came when the Yeovil boss learned that Chelsea youngster Adam Phillip had been denied permission to play. It is highly unlikely that the striker will feature for the Blues in the FA Cup, with Chelsea possibly thinking of potential loans to sides still in the FA Cup at a later date. 

But John Sullivan and Shaun MacDonald will take part, after Millwall and Swansea City respectively allowing them permission to take part. 

Manager Terry Skiverton is still optimistic about the strength of his squad, and admits new loanee Tom Parkes may go straight into the starting eleven:

"It depends on who we've got available and who is ready at the back as to whether or not I put him in. But yes certainly I've got no fears about putting him straight into the team, or into the squad. We've got Gavin (Williams), Adam Phillip and Sprouley (Ivan Sproule) who will be out for that game. But the other ones will be allowed to play, alongside John (Sullivan) and Shaun MacDonald. So we've still got a good enough squad going up there."
