not feeling the pressure

Despite currently lying in 23rd position and finding themselves six points from safety, Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton insists he doesn't feel the pressure.

In fact, the Yeovil gaffer refers to the situation friend and former team mate Paul Tisdale endured at Exeter City last season, surviving with just eight minutes to spare and by a single point. 

It is this sort of example which Skiverton reflects on when looking at the Glovers current league position, as they also hold the worst goal difference in the entire league:

"I'm not feeling the pressure; just the personal pressure to do well and to make sure that we are out of that relegation zone. But I remember Paul Tisdale at Exeter last year, and I think he was minutes away from being relegated. So this can go down to the wire. One thing if that does happen, and it is going to be a tough season, then we've got to be ready for it. What we can't do is make out that everything is hunky dory. But as I've said before, we've got to stick together, stay strong and we'll get through this." 

But Skiverton isn't unaware of the club's precarious position, admitting that his sides recent performance at AFC Bournemouth didn't deserve the applause they received from the travelling Yeovil fans:

"They're all very good. I think the club, the supporters and everybody is supporting me. It makes my job a lot easier. With the players I've got I know we can turn this around. But it's going to take us a couple of weeks to put a bit of a dent in that (six point deficit) and get ourselves out of where we are. But we're ready and we're focussed. It's not the first time where it's got a bit tight and a little sticky, but this is what I'm in the job for - to fight for this club. I love managing this club and that's how we're going to move on together, by being together."
