D-Day for Wotton

Today Terry Skiverton will find out whether he will be able to extend the stay at Huish Park of Paul Wotton. 

Currently the veteran midfielder is on loan from fellow League One side Southampton, and his loan expires today, although Skiverton is trying to keep Wotton who has become an integral part of the Glovers revival. 

Speaking to BBC Radio Somerset, the Yeovil manager stated his desire to keep the thirty three year-old: 

"I've put a phone call in but nothing has come back at the moment. We're just looking to tie a few things up there. With him he is very important to us in the way that we are moving forward. He's a voice within the team that we've been looking for. I need someone on the pitch to look after the young boys and he does that." 

Whether any possible deal would be on a loan or permanent basis is unknown at this stage, but rumours have suggested that the Saints may be willing to let Wotton go. 

Also speaking to Radio Somerset Paul Wotton explained how he has enjoyed his time in Somerset:

"It's ongoing and we're trying to get something sorted out. Obviously I'll know tomorrow (Friday) definitely with what's happening. But fingers crossed that we can get something sorted. I've really enjoyed my 28 days here and it's all gone pretty well. They're really good people and I've been looked after really well. So yes, I'm definitely open to the idea of it." 

It will just be a matter of wait and see...
