WIll David Clarkson win his second cap at any stage in the World Cup qualifier with Norway at Hampden this afternoon. Having made a scoring debut in May against the Czechs Geroge Burley hasn't called upon the Motherwell strker in the three games since.
Clarkson made his debut against the Czech Republic and scored in a 2-3 defeat, although he has been included in all three squads that GEorge Burley has named since he has not featured at all.
In fact he hasn't even been stripped in the last two games!
Maybe George Burley has seen what Mark McGhee has failed to spot this season, Clarkson has been poor week in week out.
The Well boss did finally drop him for hte game last week against Falkirk, and guess what all three strikers who played scored, including 19 year old Jamie Murphy!!
Maybe Clarkson needs to work on getting his touch back and restoring the strong running to his game that brought him to our attention as a youngster. When he does this there is every cahnce he can become a regular Scotland man, well if Kenny Mille can so can Clarkson!
