Three out of four Well players on International duty played for their countries this weekend.
First up was Cillian Sheridan who playd for Ireland's Under 21 side on Friday night a win over Spain, this will no doubt give the on loan striker a confidence boos as we head into the final games in the run in for top six and Euro qualification.
Aslo as Under 21 level young Jamie Murphy started for Scotland in Albania as the young Scots ran out 1-0 winners. Although the goal came from Chris Maguire of Aberdeen who had earlier replaced Murphy.
Despite that all of the reports in this morning's papers have picked Murphy out for praise and highlighted him as one of the successes on the day. Again we can only hope he will come back to Fir Park hungry for first team football.
At full level Stephen Craigan starred once again for Northern Ireland as they continued their recent resurrgence by beating Poland 3-2 at Windsor Park.
Craggs turned in another steady performance at the heart of the defence in his no nonsense style.
Lastly David Clarkson missed out on Scotland's doing in Amsterdam, not even making it on to the bench. Maybe George Burley will realise that Clarkson is more likely to score than the hapless Kenny Miller!
Come on George give Clarky a chance on Wednesday!!!!
