Back in action this week

After a two week break, thanks to Cup semi finals, Motherwell return to League action against Falkirk this Saturday.

There is no doubt the mood in the relative camps couldn't be more different given results in the last two weeks, Motherwell's 2-0 defeat to St. Mirren two weeks ago consigned them to bottom six football for the last five game.

While Falkirk have qualified for the Scottish Cup final thanks to their win over Dunfermline on Sunday, and at the same time qualifying for Europe for the first time.

The Bairns also need the points much more than Motherwell as they look to keep themselves in the SPL for another season, while Motherwell are preparing for next season already with no hope of going above 7th or being relegated.

This is a spell in the season where Mark McGhee has to make his money as he looks to keep his team focussed on the rest of the season and making sure that 7th is where his side finishes.

I hope he doesn't make too many changes and bring in a host of youngsters as I think this would be poor for the other teams around Falkirk, it is important the integrity of the League is kept in tact.
