Four Well players lined up in Scotland's B International 3-0 win over Northern Ireland tonight,

Four Motherwell players started in tonight's B International against Northern Ireland, the four being: Steven Hammell, Mark Reynolds, Stephen Hughes and Captain for the night David Clarkson.

In fact it looked as though Hammell had opened the scoring after only two minutes when a swerving free kick was beaten out by Jonny Tuffey byt he looked about a yard behind the line.

Seven minutes before the break Hughes and Clarkson combined with the former crossing for the latter to head narrowly wide.

It looked as though a half time down pour would put the game in doubt but the players returned and played through it, with Brian Easton replacing Steven Hammell at the break.

The goals all came in the second half with Webster forcing home from close range in 47 minutes, George Boyd hammering home on 76 and then Leigh Griffiths scored the third with five minutes left.

After the game Scotland boss George Burley said, "It was a night to look at players and the result wasn't important. It was a good exercise and Stephen Hughes did well throughout the 90 minutes."
