Is Mark McGhee about to step on the Managerial merry go round with him constantly being linked with the Celtic and Aberdeen jobs.

For the second summer in a row there is constant speculation surrounding our manager and where he will be at the start of next season. Last season it was the turn of Hearts this season it's the turn of Celtic and Aberdeen.

When Gordon Strachan left Celtic on Monday he was reputed to have suggested his good pal McGhee for the job. But since then he has dropped in the betting with names like Owen Coyle, Slaven Bilic and Tony Mowbray have moved ahead of him.

McGhee has never hidden his support for Celtic as a boy, something that would suit the Celtic support as they look for someone who is "Celtic minded".

As he dropped down the betting for the job at Celtic Park he jumped up the betting for the Aberdeen job with the departure of Jimmy Calderwood. The Dons even appeared to have gone as far as saying the job is his if he wants it.

Although it would now appear they are more interested in another former Motherwell boss Eric Black.

As always McGhee insists he is preparing for the new season (only four weeks away for Well!!) and no one has approached him as yet.

You always get the feeling it is what is between the lines that is more important, and that if the right offer comes along he will be off. No surprise really, if someone offered me more money to move from my present job I'd be off as well!
