Six picked for Scotland youth training camps

The success of Motherwell's Youth Development process was shown today when six of our players were included in two squads for Scotland Development Camps at Under 21 and 19 levels

Jamie Murphy has been selected for the Under 21 training camp, he has already represented the Under 21s four times, scoring twice for Billy Stark's side.

The training camp takes place at Dunblane Hydro between 9th and 11th August.

The Under 19 selections are defender Steven Saunders, midfielders Paul Slane and Steven Meechan and then strikers Steven Lawless and Ronebrt McHugh.

Three of these players have already featured in Jim Gannon's European campaign this season with Slane and McHugh already scoring for the first team.

They are part of a 29 man squad who will meet up on 17th and 18th August.

This shows that the efforts of our youth deelopment staff are paying off and the flow of talent is continuing following the likes of James McFadden, Stephen Pearson, Daid Clarkson and Paul Quinn in making the break through.
