Jim Gannon finally delivered the Premiership striker he first mentioned last week when he unveiled Lukas Jutkiewicz from Everton as his sixth new signing.

Jutkiewicz will go straight into the squad for Saturday's visit to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The English-born Poland Under-21 cap started his career with Swindon Town and made his debut aged 17.

He signed for Everton in 2007 but failed to maintain a place in David Moyes' side, joining Plymouth Argyle on loan until the end of the season. Jutkiewicz spent the remainder of last season on loan at Huddersfield town.

But he will now link up with Everton team-mate John Ruddy at Fir Park, becoming Jim Gannon's sixth signing at the Lanarkshire outfit.

He is currently only 20 years old which leaves us with a bit of a deeper squad than when Gannon arrived but a very young one. If Jutkiewicz replaces John Sutton there will only one player over 25 in the side, Stephen Craigan.

This seems to have helped the passion and enthusiasm in the side but it is a bit of a worry for me that there is a real lack of experience.

But as many other Well fans are saying - in Gannon we trust!
