Motherwell stuck to their task to see of ten man Hibs, thanks to Jamie Murphy's late goal.
Motherwell forced to play without top scorer Lukas Jutkiewicz who suffered a knee injury this week and he was replaced by Jamie Murphy.
The opening stages were poor stuff and it took until the 21st minute when a Giles Coke was deflected forcing Graham Stack to make an acrobatic save as he palmed the ball away.
Hibs were given a chance for the opener when Stephen Craigan tapped the ball back to John Ruddy who picked the ball up. Thankfully Anthony Stokes smashed the ball high over the bar.
The game burst into life in the 31st minute when Liam Miller comitted a poor tackle on Jim O'Brien and was shown a straight red card after the referee had sorted out the stramash taht followed.
The second half was one way traffic as Motherwell puched forward on every occassion but without really testing Stack too much.
The deadlock was broken with 8 minutes left when a Sutton knock down found Murphy who scopped the ball over Stack from close range.
This kept our impressive unbeaten League run going taking it up to eight games!
