One of our talented youngsters is on the road to recovery from injury and ready to help Albion Rovers push for promotion.

The SFL website is reported as saying, “Albion Rovers’ promotion push has received a boost with the news that on-loan Motherwell midfielder Steven Lawless is all set to return to action for the Coatbridge side.

“Cliftonhill boss Paul Martin said, “Steven has been out for a couple of weeks now and it will be a real boost to have him fully fit and in our squad for a demanding run in.””

The on loan youngster has made a big impact along with Peter Innes who is also on loan to the Wee Rovers. The Coatbridge side sit second in the table five points behind Arbroath but still in the hunt for at least a play off place.

Also out on loan is Jordan Halsman, who is at Dumbarton, and has played a major part in moving them up the table from a relegation threat to sitting in mid table.

Loan moves like this can only be good in the learning curve for these youngsters as they look to make the transition from Under 19 to playing at first team level.
