Is Maurice Ross on his way to Fir Park

Radio Clyde reported tonight that Maurice Ross has joined up at Fir Park, not sure if that meant he had signed or not??

The former Rangers full back was last heard of training with St. Mirren with a view to signing for the Buddies, obviously that hasn’t happened.

It appears he was at training today with Motherwell with a view to joining us – what to make of this?

It might not be too bad an idea, with Saunders out for the rest of the season and Jennings suspended for the next three it makes sense.

Ross could slot in at right back allowing Hateley to move into the midfield to replace Jennings.

This may also send a signal to one or two other players at Fir Park, particularly Page, who you would think could fill in at right back, and then Ross Forbes who is not trusted to start in midfield.

We will have to wait until we hear official confirmation, but after reflection it might not be a bad thing….
