The Official Leeds Untied website have confirmed they will play a friendly at Fir Park on Saturday 16th July as part of a mini Scottish Tour.

Leeds are travelling north to play two games in Scotland, playing Falkirk on Wednesday 13th before visiting Fir Park on 16th July.

This is their first trip to Scotland since 2005, and seems to be pleasing a large section of the Well support who have adopted Leeds as their second side in recent years. It would also appear to be a popular trip for Leeds fans with many looking forward to Summer break north of the border and this could ensure a healthy crowd at the game.

The last time Motherwell played Leeds was back in 1984 when they played another friendly with the Yorkshire side running out comfortable four nil winners.

This is the second pre-season game announced to date, with a trip to Dumbarton planned the Saturday (9th July) before the Leeds game as we prepare for the early SPL start on 23rd July.

I am sure there will be more games announced, so keep watching as I will update whenever they are announced but the Leeds game will be the big one ahead of the new season, unless of course there is a "glamour" game announced for skipper Stephen Craigan's Testimonial.
