Campos Meta to use Cosworth Engines

It has been confirmed that Campos Meta has an engine partnership with legendary engine manufacturer Cosworth.The Northampton based engine supplier has had involvement in various other motor sports including the World Rally Championships, World Super Bikes and, as of 2010, the legendary name will once again grace motor sports finest: Formula One.
Cosworth’s historic career in Formula One began back in 1963 when it supplied engines to the Lotus and Brabham teams and they have had a long storied career since then. The first real success for the engine company was in 1967. Matra and Lotus both used the Cosworth engines and this rendered 4 victories and a third place for Lotus in the constructor’s championship. |
From there the team had successful partnerships bringing 19 world championships. These teams included McLaren, Lotus, Benetton and many others. They were also the engine supplier for Michael Schumacher’s first driver’s championship for the Benetton team in 1994. |

Cosworth will also be supplying engines to Williams, Manor, Lotus and USF1. |
