Comments from Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder ahead of the Intertoto Cup game against Lillestrom on Saturday.
Roeder told Alan Oliver of the Evening Chronicle that they were trying to find a Diadorra ball to train with after it emerged that is what Lillestrom would use in the match.
Apart from that slight snag, Roeder’s pre-match planning is going well.
Roeder told Alan Oliver:
"Under UEFA rules, Lillestrom are obliged to provide us with the same balls to those which will be used in the actual match when we train at their stadium tomorrow afternoon.
"We have found out that these will be Diadora balls, and we have been trying to find some for us to prepare with.
"To tell the truth, it is proving rather difficult - but we will get them in time to train with.
"The Norwegian hospitality has been absolutely brilliant and the players have responded accordingly.
"I must say the lads have looked sharp in training, and they soon worked up a good tempo."
The 32,000 Toon fans who turned up to the home leg were shocked to see a weakened Lillestrom side get a 1-1 draw with
This time round, the Magpies will expect nothing less than progression to the next round as they make a bid to get into the UEFA Cup.
