Milner RECALLED From Villa Talks

Newcastle United have announced that they have recalled James Milner from talks with Aston Villa.

It was just today that Milner was down in Birmingham having talks with Villa.

But the club have announced that they have recalled Milner from talks with the Midlands club, and the former-Leeds midfielder seems to be set to stay on Tyneside.

This is all the club has to say on the matter so far, with no explanation as to why the winger has been recalled.

Milner spent last season on loan at Villa, and was very successful. Villa attempted to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal but with the unrest at the club, and Roeder wanting to hang on to Milner, no deal came through.

With a new manager, a new chairman, a good transfer budget and new life at Villa Park, it seemed Milner became interested again.

On deadline day, it appeared that the winger, who can also play upfront, was going to move to the midlands club for a deal thought to be worth between £4 million and £5 million.

But it was not to be as Newcastle have announced on their official site that they have recalled him from talks.

This move is likely to please Newcastle fans who are keen on James Milner’s attitude and talent.
