Emre Facing Fresh Racism Claims

Newcastle United midfielder Emre is facing fresh racism claims from Watford's Al Bangura.

The Watford player released a statement claiming he was racially abused my the Turkish midfielder.

The FA contacted Bolton's El-Hadji Diouf over a similar matter but the striker did not want to pursue any claim.

The FA are starting to investigate the matter, which is bad news for Emre who is still waiting to hear about a charge he denied from December, where it was claimed he used racially abusive words when playing Everton.

An FA Statement said:

"The FA wrote to Bangura and Diouf to ask for a statements.

"El-Hadji Diouf has responded and confirmed he does not want to pursue the matter.

"Al Bangura has responded with a statement and further investigations will now be made."
