Portsmouth v Newcastle Preview

10th placed Newcastle travel on a near 700 mile round trip to face 8th placed Portsmouth, who have 5 more points than the Magpies.

Newcastle have just managed to empty the physio room, with the return of Ameobi and Owen to friendly games, but it is starting to fill up again after a hectic Easter schedule.

Given will be replaced by Steve Harper after sustaining a groin injury.

The fitness and availabilty of Parker (ankle), Moore (groin), Dyer (hamstring), and Siberski (knee), is still uncertain.

Pompey are shorter at the back than usual, with former Arsenal defender Sol Campbell a doubt, and Glen Johnson ruled out with a knee injury.
