Newcastle host Fulham this weekend as they look to secure their first win since they last played Fulham on 15th December 2007 - it was the last time Newcastle took 3 points in the Premier League. Newcastle go into the game with 2 draws and 4 defeats from the last 6 games under their belt, whilst Fulham will travel in the knowledge that they have won 2 of their last 6, drawn 1 and lost just 3.
Depending on other results this weekend Fulham will be looking to hoist themselves away from the relegation zone.
They are currently 19th in the league with just 23 points, 13 more than 20th place Derby and 4 points short of Sunderland who are in 17th place with 27 points.
Newcastle should they win and other results go their way will be hoping to move into 12th above Wigan who are playing Blackburn and Middlesbrough who face Derby.
He remains without keeper Shay Given who had surgery on his groin this week, James Milner (foot injury), Emre (calf injury) and Stephen Carr (hamstring) will all be out for a few more weeks.
Smith, N'Zogbia and Duff are all fit and will be fighting for a starting place.
Keegan's availability is identical to what he had on Monday against Birmingham.
Fulham players could be reaching records this weekend, as should Jimmy Bullard play it will be his 50th game in the Premier League and Brian McBride will make his 150th English league appearance. Former Newcastle player Aaron Hughes is also set to face his former team-mates.
In the 13 clashes between the two clubs since 2001 there have been just 2 draws. Newcastle won 5 of those meetings.
Roy Hodgson has the following squad to choose from:
He has no new injury concerns to worry about and is likely to start Brian McBride and Eddie Johnson in a bid to win their 1st away game in 18months. Kasey Keller is set to stand in goal.
Oh no sadly just on tv for me don't have the bread to cross the pond mate One day I'll get back to the Motherland though. I haven't been over since I was 16 and I've never been to the grandest Toon in the land either! You make sure and cheer extra loud at the game though.
I'm just excited cause over here they generally show the Pool, Arsenal or Man City games haven't gotten to see much of The Castle this season.

Yeah until Setana came along we used to get three games on Saturday here (the early match, late match and one of the 3 o'clock matches it was nice, now we're lucky to get one a week. At this time of year they like to show relegation battle games so I guess that's why they put on the Newcastle v Fulham match.
Here in the States we get the next 3 games on Fox Soccer Channel. Only problem with this is that it curtails my drinking the night before as I can't tie one on and still get up for the 8 or 9 am kickoff any more. It's hell getting old.
Mate you have me confused. I currently live in Ontario and have seen most matches live this season on either Setanta, Sportsnet, The Score or streaming video over the internet!
The Score channel shows the late Sunday game and even has its own Footy Show (like Match of the Day), that shows highlights and goals from every game.
If you dont have Setanta, you must get it. They show three live games on Saturdays (with the others taped and played later) and one live game on Sundays with others tape delayed and if there is a Monday game, that is live too (where I watched Brum vs Toon last week).
We get more live games here than they get in Englannd!
By the way the clocks dont change in England until next week end so remember the games will be an hour later for us again this week.
Score prediction. If we score early 5-0 - if we dont a very nervy 2-1 win!
cappen CNDshearerfan16.

I don't have Setana, I refuse to pay the ridiculous monthly fee, even if its for the beautiful game! Me Rogers bill is large enough as it is! I miss the triple header we used to get on Sportsnet is what I was getting at I guess and the Score bless 'em never seem to get the good Sunday game
Anywho I get to watch the lads today so all is well!

i agree, $15 a month is too expensive for me
i miss those triple headers on sportsnet..was a very good way to watch 3 games for free on a saturday morning
And cappen the footy show is @#$%&...that stocky white guy doesnt know football and always talks about the advice he gives his kids
I agree. Geremi's beautiful overhead across the front of the goal should have found someone covering the back post; Owens missed a solid chance--not a gimme, but a solid chance.
Martins off---crowd boos. 74 minutes. N'Zogbia coming on
WE passed the ball better today. Owen dropping deeper seems to work.
Barton is improving slowly but our midfield is so slow and has no pace. Would rather have Charlie in midfield than Geremi - his distribution was very poor again and he hasnt the legs.
Milner was missed again today - he would have got in a lot more crosses.
Bottom line - we won - got three points and need to continue but away at Spuds next week - we have to play better.
